Showcase 2022
BBC Showcase is the BBC’s premier international content marketplace, where creativity and innovation come together to present the best of British television to global buyers. Each year, we showcase world-class drama, documentaries, comedy, and more through exclusive first-look previews, behind-the-scenes interviews, and special content.
As Global Creative Director, I led a multidisciplinary team in producing BBC Showcase 2022 at Magazine, Greenwich, during the pandemic. With strict filming guidelines in place, we bubbled our crew and built a filming gallery to deliver an unforgettable programme of genre-specific programmes hosted by Claudia Winkleman, Clara Amfo, and Anita Rani. The series of programmes also included key art and trailers, created by our in-house creative teams. The end result, a BBC Showcase first, online show that showcased the finest in British programming for a global buyers audience.
I executive produced and creative directed Showcase 2022 content production. A three month project overseeing multiple internal teams and external production partner I&You.
A collaborative project to create: 9x genre sessions: scripted, unscripted & childrens. 4x industry sessions, interviewing BBC’s executive leadership team, 11x multi-content sizzles, 13x title specific trailers. As well as the event comms and social assets to direct audiences to the site.
